Installation Steps
1. Choose your spot: Select travel corridors, field edges, or trail intersections.
2. Hang the Rope: Attach the rope to a branch at chest height (4–5 ft) using paracord. Allow it to hang freely.
3. Prep the Rope: Unravel bottom 5–6 inches, wrap with tape to prevent excess fraying.
4. Apply Scent: Spray Show Stopper thoroughly over the rope.
5. Create the Scrape: Clear dirt under the rope to simulate natural activity.
6. Step Back: Leave area undisturbed to minimize pressure.
Maintenance Tips
We suggest installing a trail camera overlooking your mock scrapes. Mock scrapes are not only a great tool to inventory what deer are in your area, but can also provide shooting opportunities. Scrapes are used year round as a form of communication. They are especially useful during the fall as bucks get territorial before and during rut.
